During our production process, we went into great detail to fashion the best possible thank-you cards we possibly could. Thick recycled paper, logo-embossing, meticulous design, and -wording took us a lot of time and effort, which is why it felt like a disaster, once we saw the printing factory had introduced quite a few embarrassing spelling mistakes, as they sent them into production.
1000 high-quality thank-you cards were in storage, all of them seemingly un-useable. Printing a thousand cards doesn’t actually cost a fortune, so we could’ve easily spent the money on new cards – which most companies would’ve done in our place. Throwing 1000 cards in the trash, regardless of their price, would however run quite contrary to our efforts and claims to remain as sustainable as possible, so we decided to put the money towards a charity that plants trees instead.
Too many companies in the red light therapy industry print lengthy and useless paper manuals and ship their products around the world by plane to each individual customer. 150 trees isn’t a world of difference, but we’re proud to showcase the importance of taking steps in the right direction whenever possible, instead of ruthlessly chasing the maximum profit.
As such, we hope to set an example for the industry, and pressure other companies to follow similar practices, if they want to sell red light therapy panels.
